About this course
We know the first day of a new job through to at least the end of probation, can be a time consuming and highly stressful time for both a new employee.
This period of time is so important in creating the foundations and getting to know your new role yet can be rushed due to resourcing issues and the ability to provide you with all of the information and tools that you require.
One of key areas of this process is the training. It is a normal reaction for us to train others the same way in which we learn and this doesn’t always align to others learning styles.
The way in which we learn, communicate and make decisions is all guided by our modalities. This Assessment will identify your default modality so that your new employee can design a training program that aligns best to your style of learning.
What Are Modalities?
In NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) terms, our modalities are the modes in which we learn, communicate and make decisions, such as our buying process.
There are 4 different types of modalities:
Each of us has a default modality, making one of these four modes our preferred way to take in and communicate information.
Research suggests that our modalities are the main driver for our ability to learn. If the style in which information is being communicated to us matches our default modality, our ability to absorb and learn dramatically increases.
Remember that we are not one modality alone. We are a combination of all modalities so be open to being flexible to identify the best approach. Starting with our highest ranking default modality will speed up the process.
